Cyprus fun and sun continues!

12th May 2019

Our Cyprus team continues to thoroughly enjoy our "Holiday of a Lifetime" experience thanks to R.O.A.B. The students from Rosstulla and Jordanstown School have bonded beautifully and are having some amazing experiences.

Over the last couple of days we have visited St Elia's monastry in Protaras. It is a beautiful church which is situated on top of a steep hill with some beautiful views surrounding it.It is a place to sit and reflect. Here there are many trees on which to pin a ribbon to say a prayer in memory of loved ones who have died.
We were treated to a delicious meal in a Janapese restaurant last night, where the food was cooked before our eyes! The students had the opportunity to sample many new foods including calamari, vegetable tempura and loads more, all using chopsticks! The 2 chefs performed some amazing tricks as they cooked for us.

We then moved on to Luna Park where we experienced many exciting rides, including a giant ferris wheel & ghost trains(including the staff!).

Today we were treated to a day with the in the James Mercury Lodge with members of R.O.A.B.many of whom had fund-raised for our holiday. They put on a huge BBQ for us all, a magic show, horse riding, face-painting, bouncy castle and a chance to pose on a Harley Davidson!

It is a real pleasure to be away with such a well-behaved bunch of students from both schools. They are an exceptional bunch of kids!
